The Romany Trail was the actual migration that the original gypsies took from their native homeland, Northern India.
Throughout the world these nomadic gypsies traveled from country to country and would absorb the customs of the country in which they were in but keep their own traditions. A very important link that linked gypsies from all over the world together is their music and dance. With many thanks to Dalia Carella for her important studies of the ROM gypsies worldwide, the Belly Girls are excited to be performing this beautiful ancient dance at the Free the Girls event.
